Lalique Group, best known for its crystal and jewellery, opened its first hotel in 2015 and the Zurich property becomes its sixth addition.

The 13-room hotel has been created following an extensive restoration of a listed building on Florhofgasse. The property, which dates back to the fifteenth century, and, like the group’s other hotels in France and Scotland, is a unique creation shaped by the local history, culture and heritage.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has retained its place as the world’s most valuable luxury hotel brand and the world’s most valuable hotel brand, according Brand Finance’s latest rankings.

Taj Hotels topped the world’s strongest luxury hotel brand in the brand valuation consultancy’s Hotels 50 2026 report, with Hilton in second place.

The report states that Hilton’s brand value of $19.2bn (£14.2bn), up 28%, reflects its strong positioning, high-quality hospitality and continued investment in its portfolio, as well as expansion into high-demand luxury destinations.
